Highly recommended: Camillo Agrippa's treatise translated to English by Ken Mondschein, available digitally here: http://www.lybrary.com/fencing-renaissan...33475.html with a VERY reasonable price.

Mr Monschein's introduction to the work by itself is worth the purchase, and with Agrippa's work it is an absolute must for everybody interested in 16th c. swordsmanship.

I second the recommendation. The Intro is very good, even if you have no intention of using the text for actual fencing instruction.

I still wish he'd included some pictures to illustrate the contraposto he bangs on about, but when I raised this to him on swordforum he was rather curt....
