Pole squats

This is one of the most important exercises we have. It establishes the correct relationship between feet, knees and hips. Most students find this very hard to start with, through lack of strength or flexibility, or both. But this movement is an essential precursor to a correct guard position, especially for Fiore, and Capoferro. Use as much support as you need from the pole as you build up to the full squat.
